Get Involved
WV MAW welcomes church groups, youth groups, families, and other volunteer teams interested in completing meaningful home repair projects in West Virginia communities. Our standard work week runs Sunday through Saturday, with a day rate option available for those serving only part of a week. You don't have to arrive as a team of professional contractors. Projects are selected with volunteer groups in mind, and our team works to coordinate appropriate projects and provide the information you need to prepare for your week.

Teams arrive on Sunday and remain through Saturday, staying at one of our church-based host sites and serving homeowners in the surrounding community during the week. During the workweek, teams travel to assigned project sites and complete repairs based on the needs of the homeowner and the skills of the group. Projects vary but may include:
Volunteer teams are housed at partner churches in or near the communities where they serve. Facilities vary by location, but our host churches provide a home base where teams can sleep, prepare for the day, share meals, and spend time together throughout the week. Specific information about accommodations, what to bring, and available amenities will be provided as your trip is planned.
West Virginia offers plenty to experience after the workday. Depending on your host community, your team may be within reach of New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, whitewater rafting, hiking, waterfalls, state parks, lakes and rivers, and small mountain towns and local attractions. Many groups have returned year after year because WV MAW provides both a meaningful service experience and an opportunity to build stronger relationships within their own team.

Mission Team Form
Host: Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church. Located along the Ohio River in Mason County, Point Pleasant provides a base for teams serving homeowners in western West Virginia.
Host: First Presbyterian Church. The St. Albans host site provides access to communities in the Kanawha Valley and surrounding areas.
Host: First United Methodist Church of Webster Springs. Located in the mountains of Webster County, this host site places teams in the heart of rural West Virginia.
Host: Grace Church. Craigsville provides teams with an opportunity to serve communities in Nicholas County and the surrounding region.
Host: Summersville Presbyterian Church. Located in Nicholas County, Summersville provides convenient access to communities.
