Our mission teams complete home repair and accessibility projects for homeowners who may not otherwise have the resources to do the work themselves that help people remain safely in their homes. We coordinate every project, from materials to local partnerships to housing, so volunteer teams can focus on what they came to West Virginia to do: serve.

Home Repair & Accessibility Projects for West Virginia Families

Every project is matched to the needs of the homeowner and the skills of the visiting team. Depending on the week, that can include:

The Work We Do
  • Wheelchair ramps & accessibility improvements
  • Porches, steps, & handrails
  • Exterior repairs
  • Painting
  • Minor home repairs & improvements

Host Sites

Since 2002, we've brought volunteers and communities together to repair homes and lives.

Our Story

West Virginia offers plenty to experience after the workday. Depending on your host community, your team may be within reach of New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, whitewater rafting, hiking, waterfalls, state parks, lakes and rivers, and small mountain towns and local attractions. Many groups have returned year after year because WV MAW provides both a meaningful service experience and an opportunity to build stronger relationships within their own team.

More Than a Work Trip

Whether you bring a team or give toward the work, your involvement changes lives.
